About Corflex

Flex your cortex.

What is Corflex?

Corflex is a free, browser-based brain training platform featuring 18 cognitive games designed to challenge different aspects of your mental performance. From sequential memory and spatial reasoning to reaction time and pitch perception, each game targets a distinct cognitive skill.

There are no downloads, no subscriptions, and no account required. Open the site and start playing immediately on any device with a web browser — desktop, tablet, or phone.

How It Works

Every game follows a simple loop: observe a stimulus, then respond from memory. Five rounds per game, scored 0-10 per round, for a total of 0-50. The scoring is designed to be fair and meaningful — each mode uses a scoring formula tuned to its specific cognitive demand, whether that's timing precision in Rhythm, color accuracy in Chroma, or spatial recall in Grid.

Two difficulty levels — Easy and Hard — let you choose your challenge level. Easy mode provides a comfortable entry point for new players, while Hard mode pushes experienced players with faster timing, more elements, and tighter scoring thresholds.

18 Cognitive Domains

Corflex covers a wide range of cognitive abilities, each tested by a dedicated game mode:

  • Memory — Sequence, Grid, Flash, Index, and Cascade test different types of short-term and working memory, from ordered recall to spatial positioning to rapid enumeration.
  • Pattern Recognition — Transform, Morph, and Glyph challenge your ability to identify rules, decode symbols, and spot logical patterns under time pressure.
  • Perception — Chroma, Harmony, Oddity, and Shift test how accurately you perceive color, pitch, visual differences, and subtle changes between scenes.
  • Spatial Reasoning — Mirror, Maze, and Track require you to mentally rotate, retrace, and follow objects in space.
  • Timing — Rhythm and Reflex test temporal precision and raw reaction speed.
  • Tonal Memory — Melody tests your ability to remember and reproduce a sequence of musical notes.

Brain Score

Your Brain Score is a cognitive rating from 0 to 100, calculated from your best performance across all 18 game modes. Corflex tracks two independent scores — an Easy Brain Score and a Hard Brain Score — so casual play and competitive play stay on separate footing. Each is computed by summing your bests on that difficulty and dividing by the maximum possible (900).

To unlock either score, play all 18 modes at the corresponding difficulty. Daily challenges count toward your Easy score (dailies are always Easy by design). Solo plays count toward whichever difficulty you chose. There are separate global leaderboards for the Easy and Hard Brain Score. Read the full breakdown of how Brain Score is calculated.

Compete and Compare

Corflex offers multiple ways to measure yourself against others:

  • Daily Challenges — Every day, each mode gets a fresh challenge with the same seed for all players. One attempt. Compare your score on the daily leaderboard.
  • Weekly Tournament — One mode per week, hard difficulty, one attempt. The same puzzle seed for everyone. Top 10 finishers earn a permanent trophy badge on their profile.
  • Party Rooms — Create a room, pick your modes, share the link. Friends play the same puzzles and compete on a shared leaderboard. No account required.
  • Global Leaderboards — Daily, weekly, and all-time rankings for every mode. See where you stand among all players worldwide.

Player Profiles

Every player gets a public profile page showing their Brain Score, per-mode performance with percentile rankings, streak history, and tournament results. Share your profile link to show off your cognitive stats.

Optionally sign in with Google or Discord to sync your progress across devices. Your anonymous play history transfers to your account automatically — no data is lost.

Built for the Browser

Corflex is built with modern web technology. The entire experience runs in your browser using SvelteKit, Web Audio API for procedural sound synthesis, and Canvas for visual effects. Every game mode features custom-designed audio and visual themes — from solar flare simulations in Rhythm to neural pathway animations in Maze.

The platform is designed to be fast, accessible, and lightweight. There are no ads during gameplay, no interrupting popups, and no dark patterns. Just games.

Our Mission

We believe brain training should be free, beautiful, and fun. Too many cognitive training platforms hide behind paywalls, clutter their experience with ads, or make inflated claims about "improving your IQ." Corflex takes a different approach: build the most polished, satisfying brain games possible and let the experience speak for itself.

Whether you're here to compete on the leaderboards, track your cognitive performance over time, or just enjoy five minutes of focused play, Corflex is built for you.
